Baiyu has spent the past 6 months in Hawaii, where she has been working on her first full national release. “Spending time in such a lush, secluded environment has really helped me to open up to myself and to be honest in defining my own unique sounds and experiences. Being a songwriter as well, my whole project feels like a single moment of self reflection, which is why I hope that it will speak to my fans in that same, personal way” says the singer and actress.
More recently, Baiyu’s YouTube channel “BaiyuOnline” has garnered over 140,000 video views in a short six-months with her music compositions as the topic of choice by press/media outlets such as the Roc4Life Network, MTViggy, Global Grind, as well as several celebrity tweets. She has recently signed a licensing agreement with MTV/Comcast, and will be featured in an upcoming issue of Vain Style Magazine as an artist to watch. Baiyu’s goal is to become the first solo Asian-American artist in history to reach the top of the charts.
About Baiyu
Having been born in China, Baiyu has been forging her path since prior to her arrival in Maryland at the age of eight. She learned to read and compose music as a child, with little formal training. Since then, she has worked with Seventeen Magazine, appeared in four independent films, and was a host on MTVu’s hit show “The Freshmen” for three seasons, while remaining focused on her studies. She graduated from Princeton University in 2008, where she was not only a dedicated scholar, but also a member and leader in three dance companies.

No, it’s not an oxymoron; you really can find the perfect suit to flatter your figure if you just understand a few things. The very first thing to know is that there are very few perfect bodies out there. Everyone has something they are trying to deal with. Here are a few tips.

One-Piece or Two-Piece Swimsuit?
Some of the most beautiful, sexiest women seen on the beach wear one-piece suits. They do not reveal it ALL, just enough to keep things interesting.
Many one-piece suits will show more back and less tummy, others show a bit more cleavage or thigh. Show off your best assets and conceal the others. Always remember that you are aiming for a balanced silhouette.
Swimsuit for Swimming
If you’re into swimming, definitely get a one-piece. Find one that doesn’t cut into the shoulders, has comfortable, stretchy fabric and doesn’t creep up the backside. Forget bikini strings. You just don’t want anything to come undone while you’re doing laps or snorkeling off a crowded beach.
Small on Top

Big on Top
You may need some extra support; underwire tops can work well and look great.

Short Legs or Torso
![]()
Long Body Shape
Clothes drape beautifully on you and your legs go on and on. But, you do need to make sure that you do not look like a bean pole at the beach in your swimsuit.

No Waist
No problem. It’s not that you don’t have a waist, it’s that you hips are slim.
Wide shoulders
You’re strong, confident and statuesque…a goddess.
Balance is the key word here. You will want to play up the bottom of your torso and minimize the top.

Plus size figure
Show a little skin in just the right places and you will look seductively svelte and super sexy!

The newest, mini-skirted bikinis are too cute and made just for you! Don’t go for a super frilly one, though. Instead, pick a smooth, skimming skirt that is short and sweet, but covers what it needs to. A ruffled or highly decorated top is OK though. The details will draw attention to your top half.

If you are self conscious about your tummy try one of those fabulous, tummy, control panel, swimsuits: they really work wonders.
Keeping the summer theme going, this week I wanted to give you guys a few suggestions on outdoor activities you can do during the day. Yes we all love to lay out by the pool but even THAT can get a little stale after a while. So get out there and play!!!
This one is self-explanatory. It’s fun, different and can be pretty romantic for you couples out there too!! It can get pretty chilly when you reach certain heights which is why summer is the perfect time to give this little experience a go! Prices can vary from $200-$350 per person, all depends on what you would like to include in your experience. Some companies provide packages that range from the plain experience of a rode in the balloon to a full on cheese and wine option.
It ia amazing what you able to see when you are that high up…you will never look at your city the same way.

Soccer is the universal language of scores of millions of people around the world, including countless children and teenagers. Young people play in narrow, urban alleyways. They play in refugee camps. They play in abandoned swimming pools. In car parks, war zones, on street corners–wherever there are young people, it seems there is football.

But the sport is more than just a game. It’s a positive lifestyle. It’s a way to promote a peaceful approach to conflict resolution. It’s a tool for wooing a young body away from the lures of drugs, unsafe sex, or violence. It’s a way to help ensure that young people grow up healthy, fit and full of self-esteem.

When running on roads, you can use a site such as MapMyRun to plot your route and measure it. The site also has saved routes from other runners in your area, so you can browse through them and find some new routes. Or, you can always drive your route in your car and measure the mileage using your car’s odometer.
Of course, running the same roads in your local neighborhood may get boring after a while. And you may not always have the most ideal conditions to run on your local streets. If that’s the case, you might want to head to a local park, bike path, or trail. Contact your city or county’s parks department to learn about local parks. You can also get in touch with your local running club and find out where they do group runs. Even if you don’t want to run with them, you’ll at least get ideas for new routes.
Toronto has hundred of kilometres of bike paths and routes.
The Ottawa/Hull region has more than 170 km of bike paths.
See the Ontario TCT page for more info about Ontario’s sections of the Trans Canada Trail and other long-distance multi-use recreation trails.
In Canada cyclists must follow the same laws as drivers of motor vehicles. Each province and territory is responsible for enacting the laws for their region. Some of the more specific laws that usually apply to cyclists are:
Helemt laws are in effect in a several provinces, though in some cases they apply only to kids under 18. Requirements for bike lights and reflectors vary from province to province. See each of our provincial biycling pages for specifics.
Canada has a long history of trails. From the first footpaths of the original natives to today’s Trans Canada Trail, trails have played a part in our lives, first for commerce and transportation, now for recreation and adventure. In every region of the country there are trails to take you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Canada is in the process of constructing two coast-to-coast recreation trails: the Trans-Canada Trail and the National Hiking Trail. Several other long-distance hiking trails are either already existing or are under development. Completed in 1967, Ontario’s 770-km long Bruce Trail is the grandaddy of them all, stretching from Niagara to the tip of the Bruce Peninsula. The International Appalachian Trail is an 1,045-km extension of its southern counterpart, reaching from Mt Katahdin in Maine across New Brunswick to the tip of the Gaspé.
In this Web site, the word “hiking” is used to describe trails with a natural surface. Trails with a gravel or paved surface are listed on the multi-use sections of this site. Trails shared with mountain bikers are in the Mountain Biking section. Many parks throughout Canada have hiking trails but, due to space limitations, this guide lists only areas with 10 km or more of trails.
